Writing a final will and testament in Sweden

Are you a resident in Sweden? According to the EU inheritance regulation nr 650/2012 that came into force in 2015, the applicable law on your inheritance is the law of the country where you are resident. Note that residency does not mean that you need to be a citizen, just that you need to spend more than half of the year in Sweden. Even if you are legally a resident of another EU country you can make a choice in your testament to apply Swedish law.
